The platform Agent release controls
Your fleet. Your release decision.

“We’ll decide when to update.”

Choose when your organization adopts a new Rapport Agent release. Review and approve an eligible version, opt into automatic adoption or hold updates while your team evaluates the change.

Available does not mean adopted.

An eligible release stays available for review. Devices keep their approved target until the organization approves a change.

A missing device report is not a successful update.

Compare policy examples; this does not change a setting. Fictional example; no live device is connected.

HOW IT COMES TOGETHER

A clearer path forward.

01

Review the release

Inspect release notes, compatibility information and the eligible version. Publishing a release makes it available; it does not automatically opt your organization into installing it.

02

Choose how adoption works

Use individual release approval, explicitly enable automatic adoption or place updates on hold. Channels, rollout cohorts and maintenance windows help control which devices can start an update and when.

03

Follow the update evidence

Review reported update stages, deferred attempts and failures. Local update checks and a fresh device heartbeat answer different questions; a device without a report has not proved success.
