Get started with Rapport

Get into the right organization, learn the console, enroll a device, and complete your first support workflow.

Access All members; administrator for setupConsole path /

Before you start

  • Your organization’s Rapport console address and an invitation or existing account.
  • An authenticator or other factor required by your organization.
  • For device enrollment: an administrator account and local installation privileges on the test device.

Screenshots show the Rapport interface with example data. Use your organization’s devices and values. Select an image to view it at full size.

Sign in and select your organization

Choose Sign in on the Rapport website, or open the console address supplied by your administrator. To create a new account and organization, choose Get started on the website. Complete sign-in and the verification prompt. If you joined through an invitation, finish that flow first. Use the organization selector in the top bar to choose the organization you want to work in.

  • Your permissions and device inventory depend on the selected organization.
  • If you see No organization yet, follow your teammate’s invitation to join their workspace. To start your own organization instead, enter its name and choose Create organization after completing MFA.
  • Use the account-security guide below for password recovery and authenticator setup.

What you should see: The selected organization name appears in the top bar and its Overview page loads.

Learn the navigation you will use every day

Start with Overview for the work queue and Endpoints for individual devices. Expand Insights for experience and outcome analysis, RMM for remote operations, or Admin for setup. Pages that are not listed directly in the sidebar can be reached from their parent page or Search.

The console’s Overview is your starting point. Use the organization selector at the top, the navigation at the left, and the Investigate or Review alert action beside a work item.

Add the people who will operate Rapport

An administrator opens Admin → Members and uses Invite member. Enter the work email, select the intended role, and send the invitation. The Members guide explains the role choices, invitation status, and how to resend an invitation.

What you should see: Each person can select the organization after accepting the invitation. Use the role assigned to their work: viewing, operating, administering, or ownership.

Enroll your first device

Open Admin → Agent Fleet → Install agent, or search for Install agent. Follow the install-agent guide for your operating system and deployment method. Use a device you can inspect locally for the first installation.

Choose the operating system and installation method on Install agent, then follow the generated instructions for your organization.
  • Use the installer or command generated by your console so the device joins the intended organization.
  • The install-agent guide includes separate Windows, macOS, Linux, and managed deployment instructions.
  • Return to Endpoints after installation and search for the device hostname.

What you should see: The device appears in Endpoints and its last heartbeat updates.

Open the device and investigate a question

Select the device in Endpoints. Check its identity and heartbeat, then review its Overview and available tabs. For conversational support, use the device’s Agent Workspace entry and ask a specific question such as “Why is this device running slowly?”

  • Read the diagnostic tool results returned in the conversation.
  • When a command needs your decision, review the displayed command and target before approving it.
  • After a change, ask the workspace to repeat the relevant checks and review the new result.

What you should see: You have a device record, a support conversation, and the results of any checks or approved actions.

Choose your next workflow

Use the guide library for the task you need next. The steps in each guide name the console controls and show example screens at the point where you use them.

If something doesn’t work

A page or action is missing

Check the selected organization and your role. Some controls also depend on an enabled integration, endpoint platform, agent version, or organization policy. Ask an administrator to check the specific feature settings.

My new device is not listed

Check the installation result and service on the device, confirm its outbound connection, and refresh Endpoints. Also confirm the install token belonged to the organization selected in the console.
